Local Places to Walk, Bike & Get Outside

Highland Park makes it easy to stay active close to home. Rosewood Beach is a favorite for lakefront walks, Heller Nature Center has quiet wooded trails, and the Green Bay Trail heads south along the old rail line toward Glencoe and Winnetka.

A regular walk does more than burn calories. Physical activity is one of the most reliable ways to improve insulin resistance, which can make weight loss harder. If you are staying active and the scale still is not moving, read Can Insulin Resistance Make Weight Loss Harder?

A Personal Message From Your Provider

Getting to Know You Is Where Good Care Starts

“Over 20 years in primary care, mental wellness and men’s and women’s health have taught me that the best care comes from knowing someone over time, not from a rushed visit with whoever is available.

You might come in for one concern, like low energy, weight or hormone changes. Over time, having one provider who knows your history makes it easier to notice when something changes.

Our office is about 12 minutes from downtown Highland Park, and I would love to hear what is on your mind. Start with a conversation, and we will figure out the next step together.”
